Delphi Fuel Modules, the Fuel handing system with lower cost
and higher flexibility.
The Delphi modular fuel handler combines a fuel pump, a sound isolation
system and a fuel level sender into one compact, modular package. Fuel
is drawn into an internal, self-filling reservoir through the strainer.
The fuel pump delivers fuel from the reservoir to meet engine requirements.
The fuel level sender monitors the fuel level in the fuel tank and sends
a signal to an instrument cluster or fuel gauge. Newer designs contain
the recirculated hot fuel from the fuel range reducing evaporative emissions.
The modular fuel handler is adaptable to passenger car and truck fuel
tanks from 200 mm to 350 mm deep. The system provides a constant, steady
supply of fuel to the fuel intake system as well as accurate fuel level
measurement under all conditions.
